Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, date of birth, or other term entered in a search tool is transmitted directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Lowndes County Warrant Records does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or direct message may be retained as needed to prepare and send a response. Such correspondence remains internal unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical information may be recorded automatically when a visitor loads a page:
- Page-view dates, times, and duration
- Browser type and version
- Device category and operating system
- Internet Protocol address
- Pages requested during the visit
- Referring website, when one is provided
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help measure aggregate traffic, popular pages, and points where visits end. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although blocking them may change how parts of the website function.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving website performance
- Diagnosing faults and security issues
- Routing a requested search to the applicable outside provider
- Measuring which reference pages are useful
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
Lowndes County Warrant Records does not own, host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of warrants or personal warrant information. It publishes general routing information for the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, Magistrate Court, Superior and State Court clerk, and municipal courts. No public Georgia statewide warrant-name database was located. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies supply the search tools. Information submitted through a tool is governed by that provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Each company determines its own retention, processing, and disclosure practices. Review those terms before entering personal data.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, Georgia courts, municipal services, legal-aid resources, or private tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing identifying details.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to follow activity across websites and select ads. That activity occurs under their systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be disclosed only to limited categories of recipients:
- Outside search providers processing a submitted query
- Analytics vendors measuring use and performance
- Advertising networks serving content
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when disclosure is compelled by valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect information in the site's control. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, however, so absolute protection against every breach cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its prompt deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary with the law that applies to the visitor and the data. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. Title 50, Chapter 18, governs access to many government records but does not turn this private site into a public agency. Subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal information held about them
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law provides that right
- Object to or opt out of eligible processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted here and identified by a new effective date. Visitors should review the current text periodically.
